Multi-Residential Rental Housing: Inventory and Retrofit Potential
Multi-Residential Rental Housing: Inventory and Retrofit Potential
OCAF is accepting proposals for a research analysis of Ottawa’s multi-residential rental housing stock to better understand building typologies, retrofit readiness, and the potential for greenhouse gas emissions reductions. This work will support OCAF’s priority area of advancing climate action alongside housing affordability by identifying where retrofits can deliver the greatest climate impact while supporting the preservation of long-term affordable rental housing.
The analysis may include one or both of two phases:
- A city-wide inventory and characterization of multi-residential rental buildings by typology, age, scale, and tenure, and
- High-level estimates of potential carbon savings associated with retrofits across different building forms.
Interested proponents should review the full Call for Proposals for detailed scope, budget, timelines and submission requirements. We encourage interested parties to use OCAF’s Letter of Intent template for their submission.
